Colombo (News 1st) - Convening a media briefing in Panduwasnuwara yesterday, member of parliament of the UNP, Thushara Indunil stated that the fact that Pushpa Rajapaksa had received Rs 19.4 million from the Chinese company CICT, has become a popular topic in the country at present.
"Namal Rajapaksa says that CICT paid the sum of Rs 19.4 million to Pushpa Rajapaksa as an aid for a housing development project. Of course, I do not know where or for which group of innocents Pushpa and Basil Rajapaksa undertook a housing development project since such a project has not been reported" stated the MP.
The MP added that, they have although, built themselves a palatial residence in Malwana, Gampaha, for them to live in and that the cost for this was covered through three cheques of Rs 10 million each on separate occasions.
