UNP MP Buddika Pathirana sworn in as Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - UNP Parliamentarian Buddhika Pathirana was sworn in as the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce before President Maithripala Sirisena today (June 19). The swearing in was carried out at the presidents' official residence. Speaking to news 1^st Deputy Minister Buddhika Pathirana stated that some asked him if he will wait and watch what happens in the country. He said he will work with all his strength for this country and the position will not change anything. Deputy Minister Pathirana stated that he does not plan on deviating from the vision of the party. Buddhika Pathirana who won a landslide victory at the 2015 general election continuously won vote of the people and was elected into parliament. He has developed a name among the public as a politician who has worked for the general public throughout his political career.
