4 Indians arrested at BIA for smuggling gold

Colombo (News1st) - 4 Indian nationals who were in possession of 16 gold biscuits were arrested by the Customs department on Friday (May 4th) The suspects arrested at the BIA had arrived from India. The Gold biscuits which weighed 1.66kg are said to be worth 11.3 million rupees. The Indian nationals had attempted to smuggle the contraband into the country by hiding it inside their clothes. The customs department are conducting further investigations.
