Central Expressway Construction of Section from Kurunegala to Dambulla, to Begin in December

COLOMBO (News 1st): Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways Prasanna Gunasena stated in Parliament today that construction on the first phase of the Central Expressway section from Kurunegala to Dambulla is expected to commence by the first week of December.

He said the project, along with the construction of the Ratnapura Expressway section up to Ingiriya, will be launched on the same day, using domestic funds and local contractors, without resorting to loans or incurring interest costs.
