Showers Expected in Several Provinces After 1 p.m.

COLOMBO (News 1st) : According to the Department of Meteorology, Showers or thundershowers will occur at a several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces and in Kurunegala, Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 1.00 p.m.

Furthermore, it was stated that mainly fair weather conditions are expected in other areas of the Island.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Misty conditions can also be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Anuradapura district during the early hours of the morning.
