Ex-President Gota's Former Secretary Further Remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sugeeshwara Bandara, the former Private Secretary to former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, was further remanded until October 21 by the Fort Magistrate's Court today.

The order was issued after the suspect was produced before Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena.

Bandara was arrested by the Central Crimes Investigation Bureau on June 18 in connection with an investigation into the alleged receipt of salaries for two separate positions under the Presidential Expenditure Head.

Following his arrest, the suspect was produced before court and has subsequently been remanded on several occasions as investigations continued.
