Former NTC Chairman Remanded Until September 29

COLOMBO (News 1st): Former Chairman of the National Transport Commission (NTC) Renuka Perera has been remanded until September 29.

He was remanded after being produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.

According to investigators, the former chairman is accused of causing a financial loss to the State by issuing 56 passenger service permits for the Southern Expressway outside the legally prescribed procedure and without collecting the annual fees in a single payment as required.
