CTID To Investigate Archchuna’s A'pura Comments

COLOMBO (News1st);Special teams from the Counter Terrorism Investigation Division have been appointed to investigate remarks made by Parliamentarian Ramanathan Archchuna at a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna rally held in Anuradhapura on the 12th, which allegedly promoted a banned terrorist organization.

Police stated that the investigation team has already commenced inquiries into the incident.

The investigation was referred to the Counter Terrorism Investigation Division based on a complaint lodged by the Joint Opposition.

Following instructions from the country's police chief, an investigation was launched.
