COLOMBO (News 1st): Police have recovered 2,249 rounds of T-56 ammunition from an abandoned well in Antonypuram, Jaffna.

Police said the ammunition was discovered following a tip-off from the owners of the land where the well is located. 

The ammunition was found inside a box. 

Police said a court order will be obtained to proceed with the disposal of the ammunition.
