Two Injured In Kollupitiya Shooting

COLOMBO (News1st);Two people have been injured in a shooting incident on 6th Lane in Kollupitiya at around 2:40 a.m. today.

Police said the shooting took place after an argument escalated.

The shooting was allegedly carried out by the son of a retired police officer.

Police said the suspect opened fire from the upper floor of a house at a woman and a man who were on the road.

The injured are a 30-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man.

The suspect, along with the shotgun allegedly used in the shooting, has been taken into police custody.

They have been admitted to the National Hospital for treatment.
