Arundika Fernando Questioned Over 2 Hours by CCIB

COLOMBO (News 1st): Former State Minister Arundika Fernando was questioned for approximately two and a half hours by officers attached to the Colombo Central Crimes Investigation Bureau today (3) as part of an ongoing investigation.

Police said Fernando arrived at the Bureau at 9.00 a.m. and departed at around 11.30 a.m. after providing a statement to investigators.

According to Police, the former State Minister had been summoned in connection with an investigation into his alleged associations with Shiran Basick, a suspected large-scale drug trafficker who is currently being held in detention custody.

Further investigations are continuing.
