Sri Lankan Environment Minister Addresses UNCCD Conference In Mongolia On Climate Change Measures

COLOMBO (News 1st): The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) international conference is currently underway Mongolia.

Representing Sri Lanka at the conference is a delegation led by the Minister of Environment, Dr. Dammika Patabendi.

Addressing the summit yesterday, Minister of Environment Dammika Patabendi provided an explanation regarding the mechanisms established by the country to address climate change.

In addition, the Minister of Environment held bilateral discussions with the Indian Minister of Environment and the Ministers of Agriculture of Iran and Fiji.

Minister of Environment Dr. Dammika Patabendi also stated that discussions are planned with several UN officials.
