COLOMBO (News1st);The National System Control Centre says that there is no observed risk of a power cut in the near future, despite the decline in hydropower generation due to the prevailing dry weather conditions .
Director of the National System Control Centre, Buddhika Sanjeewa Samarasinghe, said that a special discussion regarding power generation and the stability of the energy system in the coming months will be held today under the leadership of the President.
The President's Media Division stated that authorities involved in the energy distribution and management process have been summoned to this meeting.
Following the restructuring of the Ceylon Electricity Board, the responsibility for operating the national system center has been assigned to the National System Control Centre.
