COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former State Intelligence Service Chief Suresh Sallay's writ petition challenging his arrest and detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks was fixed for further consideration on August 25 by the Court of Appeal today (28).
The petition was taken up before a bench comprising Court of Appeal President Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice Priyantha Fernando.
The bench directed that the petition be recalled on August 25 for further confirmation of facts, with additional submissions on the matter expected to be presented on that date.
