Dengue Cases Rise to Over 49,000 in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Dengue Control Unit says the number of dengue patients reported in the country has risen to 49,056, with 29 deaths recorded so far.

Meanwhile, the three-day islandwide special dengue prevention programme launched by the Presidential Secretariat concludes today, with inspections carried out at government and private institutions, workplaces, public areas, religious sites, and residences. 

Authorities also note that 112 MOH divisions have been identified as high-risk dengue zones across the country.
