COLOMBO (News 1st): The Presidential Commission appointed to investigate coal procurement deals has so far recorded statements from 40 government officials.
Officials who served on procurement committees are also among those who have been questioned.
The Commission stated that, if necessary, it may also record statements from former ministers based on evidence gathered through ongoing statements.
The open hearing of evidence is scheduled to begin in the first week of July.
Meanwhile, the Commission has received 28 complaints related to the investigation into coal deals.
