COLOMBO (News 1st); A passenger transport bus met with an accident along the Galle–Colombo main road in the Dadalla area of Galle, leaving three individuals injured in what authorities describe as a potentially serious incident narrowly avoided.
According to police, the accident occurred when the bus veered off the road and crashed into a wall, causing injuries to those on board. The vehicle involved was a private bus travelling from Hambantota to Colombo, carrying approximately 20 passengers at the time of the crash.
Initial investigations suggest that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, leading to the loss of control and subsequent collision.
Police have launched further investigations into the accident to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
