Nearly 700 Foreigners Arrested for Immigration Law Violations

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Nearly 700 foreigners who entered Sri Lanka in violation of immigration and emigration laws have been arrested, Police say.
Police Spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent of Police F.U. Wootler stated that the people are from countries including India, China, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
He further said that investigations have been launched by the Computer Crimes Division of the CID into some of the arrested foreigners over their alleged involvement in cybercrimes.
