Special Traffic Plan In Colombo For Vietnam President Tô Lâm's Visit

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A special traffic plan will be in operation in and around Colombo today and tomorrow due to the official visit of Vietnamese President Tô Lâm.

Following the President’s arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake this afternoon, the motorcade is expected to travel along the expressway and through Grandpass, Orugodawatta Junction, Baseline Road, Borella Junction, D.S. Senanayake Junction, Horton Place, Nelum Pokuna Roundabout, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Library Junction, Mal Road Junction, Liberty Roundabout, St. Michael’s Roundabout, St. Michael’s Road, Galle Road, Galle Face Roundabout, Galle Buck Road, Baladaksha Mawatha, NSA Roundabout, Lotus Road, Ceramic Junction, and York Street.

Police stated that heavy vehicles will not be permitted to enter the designated route from two hours before the President Tô Lâm's movement begins.

In addition, all other vehicles will be restricted from entering the route once the President’s travel commences.

Vietnamese President is scheduled to visit the Presidential Secretariat tomorrow.

Police further noted that buses and other heavy vehicles travelling along the NSA Roundabout, Galle Buck Road, and Bank of Ceylon Mawatha towards the Presidential Secretariat must avoid entering the route from two hours prior to the President’s movement.
