Day Two of the Walk for Peace in the Island of Peace Begins

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Today marks the second day of the Walk for Peace in the Island of Peace.

The Walk for Peace in the Island of Peace concluded its first leg at the Aluvihare Temple in Matale yesterday. 

Participants covered a significant distance of over 42 kilometers, starting from the Rangiri Dambulla Rajamaha Viharaya.

The march is set to resume this morning from the Matale Aluvihare. 

The day’s proceedings will begin following religious observances conducted by the Maha Sangha, including Vietnamese Venerable Pannakara Thero.

The destination for today is the Beligammana Rajamaha Viharaya in Kegalle.
