COLOMBO (News 1st); The President (20) formally accepted credentials presented by four newly appointed Ambassadors and two High Commissioners at the Presidential Secretariat.
Those who presented their credentials were Vincent Sumale, High Commissioner of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea;
Abdullahi Mohammed Odowa, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia;
Christian Biever, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg;
Monsignor Andrzej Józwowicz, Apostolic Nuncio of the Vatican;
Major General (Retired) Nayyar Naseer, High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; and
Saleh Mubarak Al-Sarawi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait.
Extending warm congratulations to all six envoys, the President invited them to work together to further strengthen bilateral relations between their respective countries and Sri Lanka.
