Indian-Funded Housing Project Inspected by Vice President

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Indian Vice President, C. P. Radhakrishnan, who is currently on an official visit to Sri Lanka, arrived in Nuwara Eliya this morning.

During the visit, the Indian Vice President inspected a housing project constructed in the Ragala area of Nuwara Eliya with assistance from the Government of India. 

The housing project was initiated in 2018 and was officially handed over to beneficiaries in 2021.

The Sri Lankan Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha, Deputy Ministers Sundaralingam Pradeep and Madhura Senewiratne, along with several other officials, were present on the occasion.

Following the inspection, the Indian Vice President also took part in religious observances at the Seetha Amman Temple in Nuwara Eliya.
