COLOMBO (News 1st) - All arrangements have been finalized to hold the International Walk For Peace in Sri Lanka from the day after tomorrow until the 28th of this month.
The peace pilgrimage, which seeks to deliver a global message of non‑violence, is led by Ven. Pannakarar Thera, the Vietnamese Buddhist monk who gained worldwide attention through a peace march in the United States, along with members of the Maha Sangha.
In parallel with the Walk For Peace, the As Disa Pooja will take place, commencing tomorrow at 3.00 p.m. at the sacred grounds of the Ruwanwelisaya.
The full coordination of the International Walk For Peace is being carried out by the Maharaja Media Network.
