Office Trains Resume Regular Schedule; Special Services Continue

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Railways has announced that office trains will resume their normal operations starting today.

Asanka Samarasinghe, the department's spokesperson, stated that special train services will also remain in effect today to accommodate passengers returning to the city after visiting their hometowns for the holidays.

According to Asanka Samarasinghe, train runs will take place as usual. 

Accordingly, for commuters train runs have been scheduled at 6.10 AM and 1.00 PM towards Matara and 3.15 PM from Matara.

Special train runs will be scheduled on the weekend to accomadate commuters travelling back from their hometowns. 

Accordingly, special train runs have been scheduled from Matara and Anuradhapura areas.

Train towards Jaffna will also run as usual. 

Postal train runs Batticaloa towards and Jaffna will run as usual. 

Meanwhile, normal office train runs will run on the 16th and 17th of April. 

Additional train runs have also been scheduled apart from the usual train runs as well.
