President And PM Call For Unity And Prosperity In New Year Messages

COLOMBO (News 1st): President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says he welcomes everyone to join hands in unity to inherit a posperous life this New Year.

The President made these remarks while issuing his message for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.

The President's message further noted that the government has already implemented the necessary programs to overcome challenges through systematic and efficient management. This includes the internal resilience shown to the world in the face of natural disasters, as well as external challenges posed by the war in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya stated that the courageous way we faced various natural and economic challenges as a nation serves as an example to the entire world.

The Prime Minister expressed these views in her New Year message.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister noted in her message that she wishes for a safe and healthy future for everyone, especially those scattered across the globe, including the Middle East.
