Two Fatal Stabbings Reported in Katana and Kuragala

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police are investigating two separate homicides following fatal stabbings in Katana and Kuragala.

In Katana, a 42-year-old man was killed in Mahahunupitiya after a heated argument escalated into violence. 

The victim was attacked with a sharp weapon, and local authorities are currently working to track down the suspect.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old resident of Dompe was stabbed to death in the Mahapelahela area of Kuragala. 

Preliminary investigations suggest the murder was the result of a long-standing personal dispute.

Police are searching for the suspect involved.
