Police Issue Guidelines for Obtaining Clearance Reports

COLOMBO (News 1st) -A special notice has been issued concerning the issuance of police clearance reports.

This follows constant inquiries from both local and foreign citizens regarding the procedures for obtaining police clearance reports for various purposes.

Applicants can apply for a police clearance report by visiting the e-service link on the Sri Lanka Police website: www.police.lk
, and completing the application through the Clearance Certificates section.

For applicants abroad, a fee of Rs. 5,100 is applicable to obtain the report. The clearance report will be issued within 14 days after receiving the relevant receipt.

Persons abroad may apply for the clearance report either online or through the Sri Lankan embassy in their respective country.

Applicants must provide the police division, telephone number, and email address when submitting the application.

If any amendments are required to the clearance report after submission, the Police Clearance Division must be notified within 72 hours of applying.
