MFA Initiates Special Program for Sri Lankans in Middle East Amid Tensions

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the implementation of a special program for Sri Lankans residing in the Middle East who wish to return to the island due to emergency situations.

Ministry Spokesperson Thushara Rodrigo disclosed these details during an exclusive interview with News First. He noted that individuals requiring assistance can directly contact their respective Sri Lankan Embassies or the Consulate General’s office.

Furthermore, the Spokesperson issued a safety advisory for those in high-tension areas. accordingly he advised to remain in secure locations to ensure personal security and maintain constant contact with the relevant embassy via established communication channels.
