Public Servants’ Housing Loan Limit Increased To Rs. 5 Million

COLOMBO (News 1st); maximum limit for housing and property loans granted to public servants at concessional interest rates has been increased to Rs. 5 million with effect from today.

Previously, public servants were eligible for property loans up to a maximum of Rs. 3 million.

The revised limit has been implemented in line with the 2026 Budget proposals.

The relevant circular has been issued under the signature of the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Aloka Bandara.
