Sri Lanka on Track for Next IMF Tranche, Confirms Deputy Minister

COLOMBO (News 1st) -Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Anil Jayantha Fernando says that Sri Lanka is well-positioned to secure its next Tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He highlighted that the country has successfully met the targets and benchmarks previously set by the fund, signaling strong progress in the nation's economic recovery program.

Furthermore, he noted that the delay in obtaining the IMF Tranche was due to the emergency situation that prevailed in the country during Cyclone Ditwah.
