Raids in Anuradhapura and Mt. Lavinia: Heroin and ICE Seized

 COLOMBO (News 1st): A suspect has been arrested with 255 grams of heroin in Anuradhapura.

According to Police, the raid was carried out following a tip-off received by officers from the North Central Provincial Crime Investigation Bureau.

The suspect is a 29-year-old resident of Medawachchiya.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old woman was arrested with 110 grams of ICE or Crystal methamphetamine, during a separate raid in William Place, Mount Lavinia.

The arrest was made based on intelligence received by officers from the Mount Lavinia Crime Investigation Division.

The suspect, identified as a 25-year-old female, is a resident of Ratmalana.

Both suspects are expected to be produced before court.
