COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation has announced that the passenger terminal expansion project at the Jaffna International Airport is scheduled for completion by July next year.
Minister Anura Karunathilaka confirmed that the first phase of the project is already underway, with the second phase expected to commence by June this year.
The project to expand passenger terminal aim to accommodate a higher volume of foreign tourist arrivals into the country and providing services to tourists in the North.
The expansion will create new opportunities to strengthen internal flight services across the country.
