Motorcycle Suspected to Have Used in Kalutara Shooting Discovered in Bandaragama

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A motorcycle suspected to have been used in the Kalutara shooting has been discovered on the Bandaragama-Horana road.

Police stated that the shooting was carried out due to a clash between two organized criminal gangs.

The incident occurred last night near the No. 01 Railway Station at Wadiyamankada, Kalutara.

The incident claimed the life of A 32-year-old resident of the same area.

The shooting took place around 7:45 PM last night near a retail shop.

A gunman arriving on a motorcycle opened fire before fleeing the scene.

The victim passed away after being admitted to the Nagoda Hospital.

Police have launched extensive investigations into both the Jinthupitiya and Kalutara shooting incidents, with eight police teams currently deployed to apprehend the suspects.
