COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Director General of the Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority, Keerthi Bandara Kotagama, was arrested by the Commission to investigate allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
According to the Bribery Commission, he was arrested on charges of corruption for influencing officials, including the Resident Manager of the Walawe zone, to issue a license under the name Manoj Hemamal Ekanayake, an employee of former state minister Shasheendra Rajapaksa, for a building that was constructed under the Mahaweli Authority and damaged during the Aragalaya.
