SLT Appeals: Do Not Cut or Remove Downed Fiber, Copper Cables

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) has requested the public to refrain from removing or cutting Telecom fiber optic and copper cables that have fallen in various areas due to the adverse weather conditions.

In a statement, SLT stated that the affected cables remain operational despite being downed by the adverse weather conditions.

Due to reported communication disruptions caused by the cutting or removal of these downed cables, SLT urges the public to support continuous service during this critical time by ensuring the fiber optic and copper lines are not damaged.
