Death Toll Mounts in Badulla – 35 Lives Lost

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Badulla District Secretary has confirmed that 35 people have died in Badulla District alone as relentless rains, floods, and landslides continue to devastate Sri Lanka. 

Rescue teams are still working to locate missing persons and provide relief to thousands displaced by the disaster.

Badulla, one of the hardest-hit regions, has seen communities cut off by landslides and submerged roads. 

This grim update adds to the growing national tragedy, with multiple districts reporting fatalities and widespread destruction.
