BREAKING NEWS: Rock Fall In Lower Kadugannawa: 3 Rescued, Others Trapped; Colombo-Kandy Road Disrupted

COLOMBO (News 1st): A rock has fallen onto a house and a shop in the Lower Kadugannawa area, causing significant disruption. According to police, rescue operations are currently underway for several people who were present at the site.

The Kegalle District Disaster Management Center confirmed that multiple backhoes and an army team have been deployed to assist with the rescue efforts. Police said that traffic on the Colombo-Kandy road has been disrupted due to the rock fall.

According to our reporters, a few victims have been admitted to Mawanella Hospital. So far, police have confirmed that three people were rescued and hospitalized, while a few others remain trapped at the site. Rescue teams continue their efforts to reach them.
