COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka’s tourism sector continues its strong recovery, with 82,270 arrivals recorded in November, pushing the total for 2025 to 1,972,957 visitors, according to official data.

From November 1 to 9, Sri Lanka welcomed 61,890 tourists, with India leading the pack at 15,541 arrivals (25.1%), followed by:

Russian Federation – 8,220 (13.3%)
Germany – 4,740 (7.7%)
United Kingdom – 4,450 (7.2%)
France – 2,614 (4.2%)
Australia – 2,515 (4.1%)
China – 2,093 (3.4%)
Spain – 1,393 (2.3%)
Poland – 1,376 (2.2%)
United States – 1,266 (2.0%)

Other markets contributed 17,682 arrivals (28.6%), underscoring Sri Lanka’s growing appeal across diverse regions.
