Canadian National Arrested at BIA with Rs. 182 Million Worth of Hashish

COLOMBO (News 1st): A foreign national has been arrested by Customs officers at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport with a stock of hashish worth Rs. 182 million.

According to Sri Lanka Customs, the suspect, a 21-year-old Canadian national, had arrived in Sri Lanka from Dubai early this morning.

Officials said that 18 kilograms and 253 grams of hashish were found in his possession.

The suspect and the seized narcotics have been handed over to the Katunayake Airport Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
