COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Education and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya announced that a unified national curriculum will be implemented across all preschools in Sri Lanka starting in 2027.
The announcement was made during a meeting of the Parliamentary Subcommittee on Education Reform, held yesterday (22) at the Parliament complex.
Dr. Amarasuriya confirmed that the framework for the early childhood curriculum has already been finalized.
As part of the rollout, a nationwide teacher training program targeting approximately 90,000 preschool educators is set to begin on November 25.
