COLOMBO (News 1st); Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya returned to Sri Lanka last night, concluding a three-day official visit to India. She arrived on a SriLankan Airlines flight from New Delhi.
During her visit, the Prime Minister participated in the 2025 NDTV World Summit at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, which concluded yesterday after a two-day program.
Addressing the Summit, Prime Minister Amarasuriya highlighted that the Sri Lankan government is committed to collaborating with the international community, including India, to ensure a prosperous future for Sri Lanka.
The summit, Under the leadership of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focused on navigating global transformations amid instability and uncertainty.
The summit was attended by several international leaders and state officials, including former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, and several other state leaders and diplomats.
Prime Minister Amarasuriya also held bilateral discussions with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing cooperation in education reforms and national development priorities.
