Fourth Suspect Arrested in Middeniya Double Murder

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police have arrested another suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of two individuals in the Thorakolayaya area of Middeniya, which occurred on June 24. 

The victims were reportedly linked to narcotics trafficking.

The suspect, a 32-year-old resident of Medamulana, Weeraketiya, was taken into custody. 

Based on information obtained during questioning, police recovered 15 bullets, stolen gold items, a van, a bicycle, and Rs. 1.7 million in cash believed to be in the suspect’s possession.

Three other suspects had previously been arrested in connection with the incident, along with firearms and ammunition.
