38-Year-Old Arrested in Hirana With Hashish Worth Over Rs. 8 Million

COLOMBO (News 1st):An individual with Hashish narcotic in his possession was arrested by Sri Lanka police in Hirana, Panadura.

The stock of Hashish in his possession was valued at over Rs. 8 million.

Police said the arrest was made following a tip-off received by the Hirana Police.

According to Police, approximately one kilogram of hashish was recovered from the suspect, a 38-year-old resident of Telawala, Mount Lavinia.

The suspect is currently being questioned under detention orders.
