COLOMBO (News 1st); The Popular Awards was held for the 3rd year, recognizing exellence across television, radio and other media.

Sirasa TV, News 1st, Sirasa FM, Y FM, and Gammadda were awarded multiple accolades during the ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by numerous invited guests, including artists and distinguished personalities.

Julia Sonali and Heshan Mallawa from Sirasa TV were honored as the most popular TV program duo of the year.

The most popular political program of the year was awarded to the show “Satana” broadcast on Sirasa TV.

Vindana Prasad Karunaratne of News First received the award for the most popular male news presenter of the year.

The award for the most popular female news presenter of the year went to Sarasi Peiris of News First.

The award for the most popular humanitarian initiative of the year was presented to Gammadda.

Sirasa TV was recognized as the most popular youth media channel.

Binoli Jayamali of Sirasa FM received the award for the most popular female radio presenter of the year.

The award for the most popular male radio presenter of the year was won by Lakmal Siriwardhana of Y FM.

Avishka Idumini and Ishan Devendra of Y FM were honored as the most popular radio program duo of the year.

Y FM was recognized as the most popular radio channel of the year.
