SLAF Pulls Off Long-Range Medical Evacuation

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) successfully executed a long-range medical evacuation from a merchant vessel located approximately 102 kilometers off the southern coast of Sri Lanka.

The operation was carried out by a Bell 412 helicopter from the No. 4 Squadron, Air Base Ratmalana.

Responding to an urgent distress call, the SLAF deployed the aircraft to airlift an injured crew member in need of immediate medical attention.

Navigating challenging maritime conditions and coordinating with naval and medical authorities, the SLAF team demonstrated exceptional skill throughout the mission.
