Aditya Birla Wins Petrol Supply Contract for Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Cabinet of Ministers has approved a long-term procurement contract for 1.5 million barrels of 92 Octane Unleaded Petrol to be supplied over a six-month period from September 15, 2025 to March 14, 2026.

The contract has been awarded to Aditya Birla Global Trading (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., following a competitive bidding process involving eight registered suppliers of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation. 

The decision was made based on the recommendation of the Special Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet.

The supply will be delivered in five shipments, each consisting of 300,000 barrels (+/-5%).
