Carnival-goer shot dead in Boralesgamuwa

COLOMBO(News 1st): A tragic shooting incident occurred on Malani Bulathsinhala Mawatha in Boralesgamuwa claiming one life and injuring another. 

According to police, two young men were walking home after attending a carnival when an unknown assailant in a three-wheeler fired shots at them. 

The 21-year-old victim from Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia succumbed to his injuries, while the 27-year-old injured individual is receiving treatment at Kalubowila Teaching Hospital.

The incident took place around 12:30 AM, with authorities reporting that a revolver was used. 

Police are conducting further investigations to apprehend the suspects.
