ASP Promotions Granted to Top Police Inspectors

COLOMBO (News 1st): 51 police inspectors have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) with immediate effect.

According to the Police Media Spokesperson ASP F. U. Wootler, the promotions were awarded to officers who excelled in the competitive examination.

Nearly 2,000 police inspectors and chief police inspectors sat for the examination held in 2023.

Following the approval of the National Police Commission, the 51 officers who passed the examination have now officially assumed the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police.
