10-Hour Water Cut in Gampaha On Saturday

COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a 10-hour water cut affecting several areas in the Gampaha District, scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday (9).

The disruption is due to cleaning operations on the transmission pipeline that runs from Nittambuwa to Minuwangoda, which is part of the Gampaha–Attanagalla–Minuwangoda Integrated Water Supply Scheme.

The following areas will be affected:

Nittambuwa, Kandahena, Mapagolla, Kongasdeniya, Pinnagollawatta, Kolawatta, Gorakadeniya, Ranpokunagama, Ranpokunagama Housing Scheme, Bataleeya, Attanagalla, Pasyala, Urapola, Dikkanda, Meevitigammana, Maimbula, Mathalana, Haggalla, Alawala, Kalalpitiya, and Ellamulla.

The NWSDB has advised residents in the affected areas to store adequate water in advance and use water sparingly during the interruption.
