Ex-Minister Prasanna Ranaweera Remanded Again

COLOMBO (News 1st): Former State Minister Prasanna Ranaweera and two other suspects have been remanded until August 4 by the Mahara Magistrate’s Court. The order was issued by Magistrate Kanchana Silva.
The suspects are accused of forging official documents to facilitate the illegal sale of government-owned land in the Kiribathgoda area.
The court was informed that a bail application has been filed before the High Court, which is scheduled to consider the matter on August 21.
